My ankle is a lot better. However the top of my foot still hurts occasionally but I'm sure I just bruised the bone a little when I fell. So Sister O will be here this Wednesday here in Corozal. I just read her email. She said she'd hug me to death. Goodness I miss her mom. I am so happy to get the chance to see her again. I am tickled pink! I will tell you everything!
I did get my package! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I LOVED IT! THE BEEF JERKY IS AMAZING!!!! (I'm surprised I sill have some I got it on Wednesday). I will be putting up my flag this week. :)
That talk sounds amazing. I only got a small glance at it while I was at the Alico's  house for a small time last week. It is truly amazing the atonement and what all we can learn about the atonement but we'll never be able to truly understand all of it. It is one subject we have the chance to learn everyday a little more. Wow. I just love the atonement. It's beautiful. I'm glad you're listening to the Ensign on your way to work. I'm sure it will help you a ton.
Rachel told me you guys spent a ton on things at the auction. I'm proud of you guys. When I get back home I'll have to make a couple jars of spicy onion vinaigrette sauce to sell. It's amazing. But probably no one will appreciate it like A Moose Track Cheesecake. Jaja.
Well this week we had to go all over the place to get a visa for my companion. First we started in belize City, but they changed the visa application for people from Honduras. So we had to make our way to Belmopan (the capital) and we ended up getting stuck in Belize City. I got to spend the night at the Tague's house (a senior couple in the City). It was amazing. I got to be a sister missionary in a zone where there are none. We saw 2 less actives (one of the Elders I was with used to serve there so he knew a few people) and we did some contacting. I also had an amazing shower at the Tague's house. i loved it. Also I got to sleep in a big bed! #amazing
Also once a month this town has an activity called Art in the Park where people get together an sell food and things they've made. Well a lady we're teaching who's from El Salvador sells pupusas there. She's a mom of a recent convert. We told her we'd help. So from 6pm-8pm we helped her make pupusas. (see photo 1, the other is from when I was in Belize City... I thought it was funny) I got to talk to a bunch of Gringos who came to visit. All were very impressed and I got to help a lot because she doesn't speak English and her son that helps her doesn't speak much either. It was so great! Also one guy told me that my future husband was a very lucky man. So when this goes on my blog you can start taking references for me... basically I'll be a great catch. :)
So yeah, I'm running out of time. But dang it mom. I just love you so much! thank you for all you do and all your prayers! I LOVE YOU!

To counter fear and doubt we must combat it with love and faith. :)

I am doing good! However Tuesday after writing... I twisted my ankle. Dumb! But I am all better. And by all better I mean I walked with a limp for 5 days and couldn't ride my bike for three and now it just hurts randomly on the top of my foot. But I am feeling so much better. I was very thankful for the Alico's. They were up in Corozal shortly after it happened and I went around with them for two days and went on a trip to Belize City with them because I couldn't ride. But I am now riding and all. It feels so awesome. Wow, that letter got to you in like 2 weeks. Wow. The money here is a little weird. The funny think about the label was that it's in Creole Betta no litta (please don't litter).
People can be very frustrating and I am not Christ-like enough yet to deal with them. Haha. I hope I don't have to bite fingers off either. I'm glad you enjoyed my story... and yes it was the same one each time. He was just drunk and mad that we did not agree with him. I blame dad more than you... (but that might partly be because he's not here to defend himself...). I'm glad you liked the letter. I thought the post card was super neat as well. It's a cool little map of Belize. I did not get my package but I'm sure I will soon.
I bet it was cool to have Elder Wilson there. I am so proud of you for going... and for making friends. That's really awesome. And not about missionary work? Wow, that's a surprise. I'm jealous of the campfire. We're trying to plan out a campfire as well.... We'll be working on that soon.
Christian can read? I am so going to make a little book for him! I'm excited. Maybe Jorge will help illustrate it. :)
So this week was pretty good... although we did not get to work very much due to my ankle. However I am getting very close to the members I think it will be awesome working so much with them. There are a few specific families that I just love! The Bejerano family, Castenedas, and the Vivas families are just wonderful!
I got my hair braided. I loved it. But I got them done Friday... Saturday we had interviews with President... HE LOVED THEM! Haha. I asked if it was okay and he said they looked really good and liked them. He basically said "it's okay to get it braided here, but don't get crazy." So that was exciting. I think I'll take them out tomorrow night. :)
My interview was awesome. I think I might actually have a companion for more than one change. Me and president are also talking about my patriarchal blessing. I'm hoping to get that done with soon. As long as it is okay with you. :) We also talked about water rules. I can go into the ocean up until my knees. :) YES! Que mas, que mas? Uhm... He said I'm an awesome missionary. Shucks! Jaja. :)
But yeah, we met a few people this week that we hope to be teaching that seem really cool. But yeah. That's about it. Oh, well last night. We left a lesson and still had about 10 minutes until 8pm so we were going to a recent convert's house closer the our house (in the other sister's area) and the other sisters were there. So we take off and I'm like dang what are we going to do for 10 minutes in a part that is not our area? I had the sudden thought "Sister Echell didn't come to church today, I wonder if she's okay?" and she lives super close. We pull up and she was a little flustered. Her two older boys acting silly, her holding the baby, cooking, and needing to wash dishes. So Sis. Nunez sits talking and playing with the kids. I wash and she's able to cook and vent a little about work. It was only 15 minutes but I finished the dishes and she was able to finish up some things with dinner. And we got home at a decent time and everything. It was awesome!
So yeah. :) I love you mom. So much thank you for all you do! :)

My Easter was pretty good. As for traditions here it's very weird. On Good Friday they close EVERYTHING! The stores, restaurants, government buildings and everything. They have a procession of all these Catholics walking slowly up and down the streets carrying things and make random stops to preach... this is actually common in all of Central America. Then Holy Saturday EVERYONE is drunk. And there is a huge beach party with a lot of youths and dancing... and drinking. Resurrection Sunday... yet again. Beach party, music and dancing... and drinking. Then Easter Monday just another excuse for buildings to shut down and everyone to go out and drink and party. But the traditional food here is something called a cross bun. It's a type of bread that is sweet... kind of like cinnamon bread. And it has a cross on top. I think they are pretty good. But the other sisters didn't care that much for them.
I LOVED CONFERENCE! I LOVED THE MACHETE ABOUT TEXTING DURING SACRAMENT! I LOVED THE FOCUS ON FAMILIES (which made me a little baggy JK JK)! I LOVE THE PROPHET! Okay... i think I have expressed myself fairly well. My favorites were...
Linda K. Burton... the start of her talk was just precious!
Dallin H. Oaks... Don't text or play video games during the sacrament.
L. Whitney Clayton... you have a choice
David A. Bednar... Fear is dispelled by faith.
Dale G. Renlund... I'm a saint.
President Monson... TEMPLES!
Kevin W. Pearson... just everything.
For all four sessions... we had like a combined of maybe 60...maybe. No one comes. Only to the Sunday morning did people legit come.I'm sad Matt didn't get to watch it.
Why are the house sitting? Where is Vickie and Rick? I'm glad you shared a little with Matt about the temple. I think with work... patience, prayer, fasting, and a good set of obedient Elders that can connect to him will do the trick. I also recently sent a letter. It should be there soon. I hope the slight machete I gave him will be a small kick in the tush to get things moving. :)
Things here in Corozal have been good! This weekend the work was slow due to crazy Easter parties and General Conference. But I really have enjoyed this weekend. Even though my bike chain kept popping off and we have hardly taught or found anyone. It was very spiritually recharging... even though a bit stressful. We were able to have 24 lessons with Less actives/Recent converts and 22 lessons to non members. So we're doing alright. But I'm excited for this week to have good strong lessons, not interrupted by having to do something/baking/children/etc. So yeah... that's my week.
1.my hair is getting LONG!
2. How far can you get into the ocean until it is considered swimming...?
