Haha. I am so glad the Alico family sends you pictures. I had a fun time playing Sister Chef Mims at their house. Haha. And when we went to Belize city this week (for work permits) we got to go to the Belize sign. I sure thought that was nice and fun. :) A sister (sister Patterson) who just finished her mission about a week ago just came back with all of her family to visit. Her mom took a picture of us and said she would post it on a missionary mom website... be on the look out for that one.Things have been good this week. It has gone a lot faster than last week.

Transfer week always goes by so slow. However this last week felt like two days. We have found eight new investigators this week. Half of which are really positive. One was a reference from a sister who likes to go out with us weekly. He's a super adorable old man who although he is Roman Catholic from birth is very frustrated with his church making so many changes and that they pray so much to Saints. I think he can really progress in this gospel and become a strong member of this church.

J is so cute! She gave a lesson yesterday in Young Women's. We got to sit in on that and help her as she gave it. She did such a good job teaching about the resurrection. I am so stinking proud of her. At the end she bore her testimony... She had my eyes all teary. She said she knows the church is true and even though she isn't a member yet, she knows one day she will be and she is excitedly preparing for that day. Mom, it sometimes breaks my heart that she hasn't gotten baptized yet, but I also know she has to really prove it to her mom. Also, we started teaching J's mom. We're thinking maybe if we teach her we can help her to see the importance of baptism and why we are working so hard to prepare J for that day.
I am so proud of the way you handled that situation with the older woman. It's hard not to get upset or angry about things like that, especially when it is so inconsiderate of her to be acting in that passive aggressive way. You are really showing that you are developing those Christlike attributes. That you are developing that Christlike love often mentioned as Charity. I suggest you find a way to maybe serve her. You could go over there and offer to help clean or something of the such. She's probably a little grumpy and that's why she's being that way. Especially if she lives alone... maybe she's lonely. I suggest you send the missionaries to teach her. They would love a reference and so close to a member... that would be awesome. Maybe that's why you had the impression to go ask her if she left the note rather than writing back an ugly note and leaving it for her... but what do I know. Haha. Just sleep and pray on it.
I LOVED THE WOMEN'S BROADCAST! I loved the primary song. I think it was so great that they focused on families... although it kind of scared me a little too. I am happy with putting that step off for a while longer. But it has made me have more of a desire to be a homemaker than a working mom... Which is weird to think about. I can't imagine me not being a working parent. But I loved President Eyring's talk. Man was that beautiful! I'm excited as well for conference. MAKE SURE MATT IS THERE TO WATCH IT WITH YOU GUYS! The prophet can truly help make testimonies! Don't worry about the Easter candy... I will hopefully survive on the $3.50 peeps I found at the Chino the other day. Jaja. They have something called a cross bun. It's like Creole bread but a little sweeter and has a cross done on the top. They only do it for Easter. Other than that... I don't really know. Haha.
So other cool things from this week....
1. I scored a goal at sports night while playing soccer... be very impressed guys. I'm coming home a soccer super star. #bigego
2. I went to Belize City... I am making myself legal in this beautiful country. I also got to eat a really good sub and buy a bag of brownie mix.
3. I made brownies... with oreoes and peanut butter inside... a picture will follow.
4.Really great district and zone meeting. We ate yummy burgers afterwards!
5. I am learning to make prayers more meaningful (it only took me 20 and a half years to learn).
6. We are working hard at getting everyone to see the video because he lives... YAY EASTER! #Becausehelives
7.I have gotten soaked... 2 times this week.
8. The ocean is a temptation. We sit by it a lot to eat lunch.
9.Did I mention I made brownies?
10. Really great personal study all week long! YES!
Haha. I love you mom! Have a good week. Pray for opportunities to share the gospel!

Sister Nunez speaks no English. It's a little challenging teaching her. The best part is that she wants to learn at least. It's kind of cool, I lived with her back in my first transfer in Sonsacate. I am using a buttload of Spanish. No new investigators that are progressing at least. This week I did try a Johnny Cake. It's basically a little sandwich, I liked it. Also Jorge brought us some really yummy powderbuns. They're a type of sweet biscuit. I will work on trying more foods. I am healthy. I am a little sore from swinging a pickax for a service we did but other than that (and a few blisters) I'm very healthy. I am happy, I was sad to see Sister M go. Me and her became very good friends and so it was rough to say goodbye to her.
I'm excited to see where Soraya is going to go. Could you send her a message to her on FB asking her to email me? I miss that gal and I want to stay updated on her mission papers and everything.
Gary E. Stevenson? That's awesome. I could of guessed that would be the topic. It seems that since the April 2012 conference missionary work has been the go to topic for everything. Which is good because members should help, but without some type of follow up the enthusiasm leaves quickly and we're left with the same thing as before.
By the way, how are the missionaries in our ward? Do the kids still love them?
The situation on Belize- is it is very poor. You know you live in a sketchy place when the health care is better in Mexico. That's why sister Savage went to a dentist in Mexico before she went back to El Sal. I don't know why Belize is so poor, it just is.
So this week has been a rather long one. But I figure that is because I am working on getting to the scary ONE YEAR mark. When people ask me how much time left I die a little each time. Not that I am not happy to see you in a little over 6 months... I just don't know what to do with my life. I will not be a missionary and that is just super weird to me. This has been my life everyday for about a year... #Awkwardmissionarygyal
Anyways....we are still working with Jazzy J and we set another date so that way she has something to work towards. We had the chance to do a service project of moving dirt from a big pile to an area where we spread it out. I got to use a pickax and it was very fun. I think I might of frightened the Elders though. Haha. We had a great lesson with a member yesterday who has not been to church in the past 3 weeks. The spirit was so strong as I felt compelled to share D&C 122 7-9-And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good. The Son of Man descended below them all. Art thou greater than He? Therefore hold on thy way, and the priesthood shall remain with thee; for their bounds are set, they cannot pass. Thy days are known, and thy years shall not be numbered less; therefore, fear not what man can do, for God shall be with you forever and ever. As we talked about trials and hardships he is facing he began to cry a little. I was able to see a fraction of the plans our Heavenly Father has for him. Seeing him like this just affirms the fact that Satan tries to get the strongest saints to fall. And makes me have an even stronger desire to grow closer everyday to the Lord. So that way I can overcome the temptations that will be given to me.
Mom. I love you so much. I think you are the best and I am so happy and thankful that you are my mom. And that out of all of our Heavenly Father's spirit children you chose me. :) I love you so much!
Always Yours,
Keli

Lamani (the ruins) was really cool. We got to climb up three different ruins. We also got to see a spider monkey! It got in one of the boats. how cool, right? Yeah, I stood on the highest point in Belize. Yup, just like almost every tourist ever. I seriously had not seen so many white people in such a long time. This place was covered in tourists. But it was really fun.
Multi-zone was really great. I love when President Hintze talks with us. He was telling us in this multi-zone that we need to remember to make our personal study meaningful because for that hour we are the Lord's investigator. Then yes, the new doctor came and spoke with us. Some of what he said was smart and I liked. But the whole taking care of our feet don't apply here as much. We're on bikes, we need to worry more about our knees than our feet. I was hoping he would speak more about that than our feet, but whatever. I have basically been doing what he was talking about.
I'm glad that you liked the Time out for Women. It sounds like it was really cool.I would like to go if I am in the states when it rolls around again. I think it'd be awesome. How cool is it that you got to listen to John Bytheway. He's awesome.
I'm glad you guys are having some nicer weather... finally. Haha. Just about each day it gets a little hotter. Easter is supposedly the hottest time of the year. Although yesterday we got soaked from the rain... it poured a ton. But it was fun to be out in the rain. A recent convert rode past us on his bike and yelled out "you're going to get sick!" Which we replied to with laughter and "so are you Elmo!"
J's mom did not give the permission for her to be baptized. Sadly. But one day she'll get baptized. I know she will. :)
I love you mom! So much. :)
